| A voltage regulator is an electrical regulator designed to automatically maintain constant voltage level. Electromechanical Regulators, usually called voltage stabilizer, have also been used to regulator the voltage on A.C. power distribution lines. If the output voltage not in the acceptable range, the servomechanism switches connections or moves the wiper to adjust the voltage into acceptable region.
